1. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility

By accessing or using find1.io (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old — or the age of digital consent in your country, which may be as low as 13 — to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children; see our Privacy Policy for more.

2. Description of the Service

find1.io provides a way to associate a short, unique code with contact information so that a found item can be returned to its owner. The Service is provided “as is” and may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.

4. Personal, Non-Commercial Use

Free use of the Service is licensed solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes — for example, tagging your own belongings or those of your household. Free accounts may not be used for any commercial, business, or revenue-generating activity, including reselling, redistributing, or providing the Service to third parties.

Commercial and business use is permitted only under a separate paid arrangement, such as tags issued or distributed through an authorized partner or reseller program (for example, our Partners program). Tags obtained through a paid channel are governed by the terms of that arrangement, even where the end user is not the party paying us. We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether a particular use is personal or commercial, and to require a paid plan, restrict, or suspend any use we consider commercial.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as contact info and item details). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content as necessary to operate the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

If you submit information about another person — for example, a parent tagging a child's belongings — you confirm that you have the authority and any necessary consent to provide that information and to have it used as described in our Privacy Policy, and you remain responsible for it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect information about other users;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.

7. Privacy

Contact information associated with a code is intentionally made available to anyone who looks up that code. Do not store information you do not wish to be publicly accessible to anyone holding the code.

8. Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile phone number — for example, when you find a tagged item and choose to share your number so the owner can reach you — you consent to receive text messages (SMS) from find1.io related to that activity. These are conversational and transactional messages, such as a notification that the owner has replied to your message, together with a link to continue the conversation. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Message frequency varies and depends on how you use the Service. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any of our text messages; we will send one confirmation and then stop sending you SMS. To opt back in, reply START. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@find1.io.

9. Termination and Deactivation

We may suspend, deactivate, or terminate your account, any individual tag or code, or your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, in our sole discretion. This includes, without limitation, violations of these Terms, suspected unauthorized or commercial use, non-payment, inactivity, legal or security concerns, or the discontinuation of the Service.

Deactivating a tag or code may cause it to stop resolving to your contact information, and deactivating an account may remove access to associated tags and content. We are not liable for any loss resulting from such suspension, deactivation, or termination.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, find1.io and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, items, profits, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
